The Harlow Symphony Orchestra (Registered Charity number 287413) is an amateur orchestra based in Harlow, Essex. Our charitable objective is to educate the public in the arts and sciences and, in particular, the art and science of music, in the presentation of concerts and other activities. It meets each Tuesday during school term times and participation is entirely voluntary.

The HSO prepares a concert which is performed towards the end of each term – three per year. Concerts take place in a variety of Essex venues including St. John's Arts and Recreation Centre in Old Harlow and St John's Church in Epping. The orchestra plays classical music and is open to anyone who plays an orchestral instrument to a sufficient standard (typically Grade 6+).

The orchestra largely relies on income from its members and donations from individuals. Follow one of these links if you think you might like to join the orchestra or wish to make a donation. If you are a UK taxpayer, please also submit the Gift Aid Declaration to allow the orchestra to recover and extra 25p per £ donated.
